Training, holiday pay, pensions. What’s not to like?
More importantly, this isn’t just any job. It’s a career you can progress further in. Wherever you want to take your career, we’ll be with you all the way. We care about the wellbeing of our colleagues so our flexible working patterns mean you can plan your life around your shifts. Our salaries are more than competitive – with regular reviews. We also give paid holiday and compensation for any extra hours you do on the job. Base hourly rates start at £16.85 an hour with with additional payments for hours worked at weekends and anti-social hours.
We want our vehicles to look the best on the road. You’ll be driving one that is well-equipped, well-maintained and regularly serviced. On a break, pick up a drink and some grub for a decent price too.
What are Skills Bootcamps?
The Skills Bootcamps are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life. HGV Bootcamps are intense training courses and are designed to quickly train individuals in the skills required to drive HGV vehicles. The vacancies we have at Coop are offered as part of this scheme. These Bootcamps are short intense driving programs that offer you fully funded training to gain your HGV licence and make you ‘road ready’ with either a Category C (Rigid) or Category C&E (Articulated) licence.
What You’ll Do:
Once you have completed your fully funded medical and theory training, you will then gain an interview with a local Coop depot manager in the hope to secure a permanent job as a driver at Coop once you have completed your practical training and gained your licence.
