Free Training for Drivers & Warehouse Staff

As an employer you want a workforce with the right skills and also be able to employ new staff and train them in the skills they need to carry out their role effectively. You can access free driver and warehouse training by signing new or existing staff onto our Professional Driver or Warehouse programme. You can train a new rigid/artic driver or warehouse staff by using Government funding through the Levy scheme. If you are a Levy payer then the training is free subject to enough funding being in your digital account.

If you don’t pay the Levy then the training can still be free if candidates are under 19 years old. If they are 19 or over then you will still only pay 5% of the costs which means you will receive a 95% subsidy. There are no catches or hidden costs, just good quality training in skills and qualifications you need for your workforce. Give us a ring and we will be happy to discuss helping you to upskill your workforce.

Companies with an employee pay bill above £3m a year now pay the apprenticeship levy, make sure you are using your levy payments. Email or tel: 01228 530 552.

The Business Benefits

Apprenticeships are a great way to harness new talent in to your organisation as well as increase productivity and the competency of your work force.

The benefits of apprenticeships are becoming increasingly obvious to more and more businesses. It’s a fact that apprenticeships develop a motivated, skilled and qualified individual who will be an asset to your workforce. Businesses that offer apprenticeships view them as beneficial to their long-term employment strategy and an opportunity to ensure skills that are needed are not in short supply.

According to the British Chambers of Commerce, most employ an apprentice to improve the skills base within their business. Employers have the opportunity to attract or develop new talent, offer progression and develop a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce.

Logistics Apprenticeships

The Main Rules to Apprenticeships

  • the apprentice must be employed in a real job; they may be an existing employee or newly hired
  • the apprentice must work towards achieving an approved apprenticeship standard or apprenticeship framework
  • the apprenticeship training must last at least 12 months
  • the apprentice must spend at least 20% of their time on off-the-job training.

We do everything we can to make taking on an apprentice or trainee as simple as possible.
