Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are the paid on-the-job learning route that combines theory with practical hands-on work experience.

Across our website you’ll find everything you need to know about the individual standards we offer, the learner journey and external assessment. A career in logistics can be varied and demanding, offering a number of different progression routes. From driver training to management roles, our suite of apprenticeships support a successful career journey in logistics.

Your learner journey

Once your employer has agreed your place on an apprenticeship, you’ll enter our eligibility process.

Our team will ensure that the apprenticeship standard is the best fit for you and support you with every step of the eligibility process.

Following eligibility, you’ll be enrolled onto an induction session ensuring that you have all the information you need to be successful during your learning. Throughout your apprenticeship you’ll be assigned a personal learning advisor who will support you through every stage of your apprenticeship, meeting regularly with you and your mentor/line manager to ensure your best chance of success.

In addition, you’ll benefit from working alongside experienced tutors and trainers steeped in real-world experience and knowledge. Our online delivery model, supplemented by practical driver training/sessions, allows greatest accessibility to tutor-led workshops as you can access sessions from where you need.

As you approach assessment periods, you’ll be offered dedicated 1-2-1 support to ensure you achieve outcome success.

Beyond the apprenticeship

Throughout your apprenticeship, your career journey is held at the forefront of your learning.

Through 1-2-1 sessions, workshops and via our online learning you’ll be supplied with next-step and career information as well as being signposted to additional careers information. The National Careers Service is a great source of information.
