Training Administrator, Permanent, Full Time 39.5 hours per week or Term Time, £25,100 per annum, with opportunity for further progression to £25,900 after training.

As part of our ongoing expansion plans, we are looking for an administrator to join our training administration department.

Reporting to the Logistics Training Manager you will make up an essential part of the busy and dynamic training team. Full training and support will be given to enable you effectively support the delivery of commercial and funded training. This role is office based at our Head Offices at Carlisle Airport business Park.

Role Duties

As part of the role you will:

Be responsible for administration supporting course planning, managing joining instructions, sales bookings and booking amendments
Supporting learners and apprentices undertaking a variety of logistics training courses using cloud-based software systems
Respond to booking enquiries, helping candidates and employers to choose the correct training and give them advice on options, both over email and the phone

Apprenticeship Learning Advisor, Logistics Specialist

Apprenticeship Learning Advisor, Logistics Specialist -Cumbria/Carlisle/Hybrid, Up to £26,000 to £29,000 (FTE) dependent in experience

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Work Based Learning team as a Apprenticeship Learning Advisor to employed professional learners within the Logistics sector, specialising in Large Goods and Urban Driver vehicles.

Reporting to the Logistics & Leadership and Management Sector Manager, you will make up an essential part of the apprenticeships training team. You will join a hybrid team consisting of Learning Advisors, Tutors and support staff all working together to deliver high quality apprenticeships to our clients. This role can be hybrid or office based, with our main offices based in Carlisle.

Role Duties

This role is crucial in supporting our Level 2 LGV and Urban Driver apprenticeship learners, guiding them through their learning journey towards successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Inductions: Conduct initial meetings with new apprentices to introduce them to the LGV Level 2 apprenticeship program, outlining expectations, resources, and support available.
Virtual Workshop Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging virtual workshops to groups of apprentices, reinforcing key knowledge, skills, and behaviours in line with the apprenticeship standard.
Learning Support: Assess each learner’s prior knowledge and any additional support needs. Provide ongoing learning assistance tailored to individual requirements throughout the apprenticeship up to the End Point Assessment. Supporting learners’ health, safety and wellbeing and following the safeguarding policy at all times.
Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess apprentice progress through status reports and learning software. Identify any areas of concern and intervene as necessary to keep learners on track.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with learners and their line managers through quarterly 1-2-1 tripartite interviews, ensuring alignment of apprenticeship goals with workplace expectations.
Extra Support: Arrange for extra sessions or support where necessary, facilitating the best possible learning outcomes for each apprentice.
Flexibility and Adaptability: This role may evolve in line with the changing needs of the business. The Learning Advisor may be required to support other teams, programmes, or projects within SP Training, demonstrating flexibility and a collaborative approach

It is essential that you have a Level 2 or higher qualification in functional skills or Grade C/4 Maths and English as applicable.

It would be advantageous but not essential if you have the following;

Experience in training development, either as a tutor or in an administrative role.
Experience within the logistics sector.
High level of organisation and IT literacy, comfortable with managing virtual meetings (Zoom/Teams).
A teaching or training qualification e.g. Certificate in Education or evidence of relevant teaching experience in an education, coaching or assessing context. However, we are able to offer training to a competitive candidate.

As part of the role you will:

Assist in the development of engaging learning materials and preparing schemes of work
Manage a case load of learners maintaining records to monitor learner progress, achievement and attendance
Deliver workshop and 1-2-1 training online, including lesson planning

In this role you will join a well-established team of trainers to deliver driver related training, evaluate and monitor the progress of learners and support them through the test process.

The starting salary is £30,000 – £31,500 and will rise to £32,600 once qualified and experienced.

Role Duties

As part of the role you will:

Deliver LGV learner driving courses to DVSA test standard to a cohort of committed learners.
Prepare candidates for DVSA LGV theory and driving tests
Undertake driver assessments and development of LGV licence holders.
Assess and ensure that participants have the required skills to effectively and safely perform the driving duties that their role requires.
Take responsibility for the supervision of course participants, risk assessments and Health & Safety requirements relevant to driver training.

A good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
