Transport Supervisor Apprenticeship Level 3

As a result of our recent research into what local Logistics companies are looking for to upskill their existing staff, we have developed the Level 3 Transport Supervisor Apprenticeship. This supervisory skills training programme is specifically tailored for the Logistics sector and allows you the opportunity to underpin the promotion and development of your staff into supervisory roles with relevant, recognised CPD training.

This Apprenticeship equips supervisory staff with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to manage transport project operations and drivers. In addition, learners completing this Apprenticeship also achieve the Transport Managers Certificate in Professional Competence. The whole apprenticeship, including the Transport Manager CPC, can be funded through an employer’s apprenticeship levy or available government funding.

Who is this apprenticeship aimed at?

This Level 3 supervisory programme is ideal for existing haulage business owners, owner drivers, transport managers, or supervisors that wish to broaden their Logistics expertise. It is also an excellent training option for newly promoted staff who have gained a supervisory or team leading role and would benefit from some formal training.  This apprenticeship route can also be used as a way of recruiting and training new supervisors and enhance a recruitment campaign as you can offer a formal training route for promotion.

The benefits to your business…

  • A fantastic way to attract new talent into the business
  • An effective way of developing existing staff into qualified transport supervisors
  • Increases staff loyalty and retention & reduces staff turnover
  • Employees will achieve Transport Manager CPC
  • Government-funded programme
  • Easy to access online interactive learning modules
  • Scheduled virtual live classroom tutor-led sessions
  • Management CPC training (10 days)

How does training fit into employee work schedule?

We have created this apprenticeship programme to meet employers’ requirements while minimising the disruption to the business. Much of the skills development happens while the employee is on the job at work. All apprentices must spend 20% of their time in program undergoing “off-the-job” training. The Transport Manager CPC element of the program offers 10 days of “off the job” training with the rest of the training formulated by attending planned-in virtual classroom sessions, online learning, and on-the-job “buddy” training.

What our other customers say…

Learners participating in the new Transport Supervisor course are well supported by our expert Tutor Simon. He conducts 1 2 1 progress review where he discusses learner progress and next steps along with any development needs they may have. Discussion cover areas such as time management, prioritisation, and support with personal development in supervision and management.  Simon offers these sessions on a regular planned basis. Here is what Clipper Logistics had to say…

“I Just wanted to say thank you for the 1-2-1 progress review,  The help you’re willing to offer me on this course is fantastic and I’m excited to see how far I can develop and improve. Thanks again.” Jacob A, Transport Graduate, Clipper Logistics PLC, Jan 2022
