Katy’s Blog – part 9

We  thought the best way for everyone to understand what goes on during an apprenticeship was to get one of our apprentices point of view. Katy is doing her Supply Chain Warehouse Operative apprenticeship with us and has very kindly agreed to keep you all up to date.

Katy Nixon - Apprenticeship StoryOn the 12th of April, it will have been 10 months since starting my job here at G.D&M Dunglingsons!  This is mad because my apprenticeship is over three quarters of the way through.  My job keeps me busy and I enjoy it so I couldn’t really ask for much more to be honest.  If I have to be completely honest though I can’t wait to get on that plane to Turkey next week! Everyone deserves a break you know.

When I left school I  had no clue of what I wanted to do, but a year after leaving I landed on my feet with this apprenticeship. Having a variety of things to do and each day at work and not repeating the same thing over and over again makes the job enjoyable. As well as that the apprenticeship covers loads of different things, I would definitely advise young people to look into the apprenticeships SP Training have available.
