SP Training are now approved to deliver FORS Training.

In order to meet the FORS Standard you will be required to demonstrate that you have plans in place to ensure all drivers and managers undergo approved and progressive training and continued professional development. This includes induction training, compliance and vulnerable road user training as well as remedial and refresher training to ensure that skills are fully embedded.

Training Courses

  • Vulnerable Road User (VRU)
  • Safe Urban Driver (SUD). The course consists of two 3.5 hour modules (both delivered on the same day). The first module is classroom-based theory and the second module, an outdoor practical session where drivers get on bikes and get a cyclist’s view of the road.
  • Van Smart

FORS incorporates safety, fuel efficiency; economical operations and emissions and helps operators improve performance, operate within the law and comply with best practice in each of these areas. Much like other key industry standards, FORS aims to give fleet operators peace of mind that they are meeting legislative requirements. In addition to this it also demonstrates to new and existing clients that the company operates at a high level and to high quality standards.

The scheme has three main aims:

  • Recognise and reward excellence
  • Raise standards
  • Improve your competitive advantage
