IOSH Managing Safely

Course Content

This course is designed to help team leaders, supervisors, managers and heads of department to effectively manage their teams’ health and safety. It is for experienced managers or new managers alike to enable them to support the company in the management of health and safety. The course is is delivered by experienced tutors in a in a high impact interactive package.

Course Aim

At the end of the training candidates will have been trained to a standard to successfully pass the final course project and assessment and will have the skills and knowledge to support management of health and safety in the workplace.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course candidates will be able to:

• identify their responsibilities relating to Health & Safety
• support the prevention of workplace accidents
• identify hazards and risks in the workplace
• define and carry out risk assessment
• identify the law and how the legal system works
• describe H&S management system
• identify why and how accidents should be investigated
• outline requirements for the control of waste and pollution
