DCPC – Drivers’ Hours and Customer Management

Course Content

This course us a refresher course for drivers and covers use of digital tachographs, EU regulated hours, Working Time Regulations and UK domestic hours. Management of delivery and proof of delivery are covered ensuring drivers carry out their duties professionally.

Course Aim

This module aims to ensure you have a working understanding of:

• Requirements of EU Drivers' Hours Regulations (EC561/2006) and the Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations
• Penalties and consequences of breaching these regulations
• Ways to manage customers when making deliveries
• Use of electronic systems and proof of delivery

• Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of drivers' hours and working time regulations
• Apply understanding of drivers' hours regulations to practical scenarios
• Manage delivery situations positively and ensure company documentation is completed
