Macadams are a well-established family business with over 50 years in the breakdown industry, we operate a large mixed fleet and are currently looking for Class 1 drivers, previous industry knowledge would be an advantage but not essential.

Job Info 

There are 2 vacancies available;

1 x Night shift driver – 5pm – 5am (12 hour shifts)

1 x Day driver – 8am or 10am starts for 12 hours

• Class 1 Nights or Days all paid £11 an hour plus bonus £1 an hour once been three months
• Various incentives for more money. Eg; damaged wheels £15 for using equipment – encourage them use them.
• 4 on 4 off pattern for all drivers
• Over time optional
• also on call rota they are on. – paid when called out.
• 32k OTE very achievable
• Base Carlisle
• Staff discount and incentives including life insurance, bonuses, pension and SSP will apply.

Full induction provided when you start with us to learn the ropes! You will work as a buddy passenger assistant with an experienced driver for 3-4 days then they drive with a buddy – when you are ready they go off alone you will begin driving independently.

Am I right for the job?

You will have recently secured your Class 1 or 2 licence via the Skills Bootcamp Scheme or be on the way to achieving this.

You’ll be confident in dealing with our customers, building new relationships and developing existing ones. Ensure work is completed in a safe and professional manner. Our roadside staff are passionate about what they do, we want like-minded people to join our team with the same mind set and ambition.

We offer full on the job training, full uniform supplied to include PPE.
