BCA Automotive operates a transporter fleet supporting a large number of motor industry customers, vehicle manufacturers and leasing companies. BCA Automotive handles the movement of manufacturer’s vehicles from port of entry through to retail dealerships including the used vehicle sector.

No Car Transporter experience is necessary, you will be trained and provided with the support required to carry out your daily duties.

Skills Bootcamps – How does it all work?

Once you have successfully gained your provisional licence via the Bootcamp training with SP Training, you will attend an assessment day with BCA Automotive. During the open day, you will learn about the benefits and reality of a career in the Car Transporting industry. The bootcamp course structure will be outlined in depth to ensure you know what the programme involves.

Prospective candidates will watch an informative demonstration from an experienced driver, who will load and unload a HGV Car Transporter. You will then have the chance to experience a day in the life, by having the opportunity to load a car on one of our Car Transporters. Senior Management and experienced driving staff will talk you through the job and show you the challenges faced in the role. Candidates will be given an insight into the cost of the truck, types of vehicles moved, damage and how the UK roads are not always designed for Car Transporters.

On successful completion of BCA Automotive open day, you will be invited for a face to face interview. Where you will potentially be offered a position subject to passing your necessary practical HGV 1 licence.

Applicants must have the following:

• Must hold a full UK car licence.
• No more than 6 points on your license
• Polite and pleasant personality
• Smart appearance as you will be customer facing

We are looking for:

This job will suit someone who is happy to work and sleep away from home all week. There are early morning starts and it is not the most glamorous job! You will be transporting expensive cargo across the UK in a Car Transporter. Assessment date for this round of Bootcamp will be mid December 2022 over 2 days which will be communicated to you upon successful application.

The Assessment days for this round of Bootcamp will be held at Rockingham Motor Speedway in Corby, NN17 5AF and will be in mid December 2022 over 2 days – to be confirmed and communicated to you upon successful application.
