Since 1966 J D Macadam & Sons we have been providing 24-hour breakdown services for all commercial fleets and drivers of commercial vehicles, buses and coaches. Alongside this, we offer HGV, bus, and coach recovery services. We are a well-established, family run business and we look after our employees and promote where we can from within – our current Area Manager started out as a driver.

Is this job for you?

We are looking for candidates 25 years of age or over who are happy with both the following day and night shift patterns;

• 10-hour shift
• 12-hour shift – 4 on / 4 off

A generally good level fitness is required however the job is not physically intensive.

We are looking for; 

The ideal candidate will be able to drive our recovery vehicles & provide a rapid response to stranded motorists – give reassurance to vulnerable drivers and customer support. Candidate should be a good communicator and well-presented as you are the face of our business. You will need the ability to complete general paperwork as well as other duties such as daily maintenance and safety checks on vehicles and on-board equipment. If you have vehicle/mechanical knowledge this would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided.
